Task2Gather.com Releases Windows Mobile Client
October 27th, 2008 – VITO Technology releases Windows Mobile client for free online task management service Task2Gather.com. Task2Gather has become one of the few on-line task managers that support all major platforms (Windows XP, Vista; Mac, iPhone, iPod Touch and now Windows Mobile). At the same time Task2Gather is reasonably priced. WM client of Task2Gather includes two new major features: synchronization with calendars and statistic reports by user or project activity.

Task2Gather on Windows Mobile gives its users freedom of managing tasks on the go: adding new projects and tasks, sharing projects, assigning the responsibility to one of the participants, setting the deadline, marking tasks by color, etc. Stylish and intuitive interface of Task2Gather, uncommon among other similar applications, makes Task2Gather even more attractive for all Windows Mobile users.
Alongside with the Windows Mobile client of Task2Gather VITO Technology announces 2 new major features for desktop version: iCalendar subscription and report generation.
iCalendar subscription allows for subscribing to tasks in Task2Gather in any calendar application that supports iCal format (e.g. Outlook or Google Calendar). All your tasks with set deadlines will automatically emerge in the calendar and the reminders will let you know when you should fulfill your tasks.
The report generation is another feature that will undoubtedly gain popularity among CEOs. At the moment it is possible to get three types of reports: user statistics, project statistics and estimation summary. With Task2Gather chiefs will always be aware of employees’ performance and their input into the project.
Task2Gather for Windows Mobile is available for $4.99 at http://task2gather.com/site/windows-mobile-task-manager.html. Task2Gather is also accessible for free from Mac or PC at www.task2gather.com.
Since it entered the mobile software market in 2001 VITO Technology Inc. has developed an impressive portfolio of products for Windows Mobile (from GPS navigation to audio recording, voice recognition, personal productivity, and beyond). The latest VITO Technology’s endeavour is iPhone and Web 2.0 software development.

I have been using it for the last week, and I absolutely love the UI.
The following are the features that I feel are missing the most:
- Offline mode
- Possibility to move a task from one project / task to another
I have been trying to implement GTD with Task2Gather, and the fact that I can’t move the tasks from one project to another, or one GTD context to another slows me down…
Thank you!

We are going to add offline mode in the next WM version of Task2Gather.
It is possible to move tasks if you use cut/paste function:
Any task in Task2Gather can be cut and then pasted to any place in the tasks hierarchy.
To cut a project or a task you should click the one you need (so that it is highlighted) and press “Cut†in the control panel. Then click the project or task (make it highlighted) where you want to move the cut one and press “Pasteâ€.
You may cut and paste the task if you created the task or if you are the owner of the project where this task is located.

One thing I’m not clear on: does this synchronize with the default “tasks” application found on Windows Mobile? That’s a key feature for me.

No, at the moment it doesn’t synchronize with the deafult “tasks” but Task2Gther does synchronize with Microsoft Office Outlook that can be sychronized with the device.
I’ve put your wish to the list, probably, we’ll realize this feature.

Fantastic! That would be amazing.

Is there a way of showing all tasks that are scheduled by date? In other words, if I’ve worked through my tasks and have assigned due dates, I’d like to see, what is due today?
